2013 December Daily Featuring "Sparkle & Shine"

The best part about my job as a CTMH Consultant is getting to create lots of different things using our product.  One thing I love to do, is keep all of my family's December activities journaled.  I love looking back at my holiday scrapbooks and remembering all the "little things" we did as a family.  That's where the "December Daily" comes in handy!  Each day has a page or two dedicated to journaling things we did to prepare for the holiday or celebrate.

What kind of things do I add in my December Daily?  Hmmmm let's see.....things like movies we watched that were holiday related (The Elf and Christmas Vacation edited for the younger ones are two faves), stories or books we read, recipes we have tries, crafts we did, choosing our Christmas tree, the kids' wish lists, etc....so I wanted to take the time to create one in advance that way it was all ready for filling. Things get crazy busy here starting in couple of weeks and I didn't want to be a deer in the headlights without my projects completed.

I took one of CTMH's My Creations Kraft Three Ring Album pictured here

Then I added some of our new Sparkle and Shine Paper from the Holiday Gift Guide (available for purchase 10/15), burlap ribbon, cuts from my Artbooking and Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, the stamp set featured in the Sparkle and Shine WOTG, Ruby Chevron grosgrain ribbon, and a few extras from the Sparkle and Shine Assortment.  This is the finished product
My favorite part was wrapping the spine of the book with our burlap ribbon....it helped add a natural touch to the project.
CTMH's embellishments always help "sparkle" up any project and they are all super easy to use!

Happy crafting!

Start Your Holiday Shopping!!!!

Good morning and happy Monday (Columbus Day)!  I am super excited to share that starting tomorrow 10/15, you can order from the Close To My Heart Holiday Guide.  The Sparkle and Shine collection is so beautiful and I have already started creating with it (because I am a consultant, I get to preview the product early). I wanted to give you a little taste of what you will see in the guide in combination to what you can find in your Autumn/Winter Idea Book!  Here is a single page layout that I created to capture the Christmas moments of my three girls.  This will be my "opening" page!
With the help of my Cricut, Art Philosophy, and Artbooking I got to make this fun page.  Notice how I left the "zip strip" attached to the top piece of B&T.  A few little extra embellishments I included were from the Mini-Medley Accents (Ruby), Sparkle Flourishes, and Mini-Clothes Pins......

Notice the little sparkle in the Baker's Twine!!!

Stay tuned as I will post pics of other projects throughout the day!!!!  Also, if you are local, join us at Wegmans in Leesburg tomorrow evening at 7:30 so you can see the new guide and get some gift giving ideas as well!
