September 2012 Class & Workshop Schedule

Hi everyone!  Take a look at the workshops and classes I am offering this month....let me know if you would like to join us!  Our featured pack is "Scholastic" by Close To My Heart and perfect for those back-to-school pictures!

Scrapbook Workshop:  We will complete 6 pages using the Scholastic Workshop On The Go.  For $29.95 + tax and shipping, you will get the Scholastic paper pack, 2 extra sheets of Colonial White cardstock, exclusive stamp set, plus coordinating embellishments.  Just go to my website here and order your kit (use product # G1049).  Give at least 10 days for delivery.  Then bring your kit to class.

Card making Workshop (we will create 6 cards-2 each of 3 designs).  Cost is $15 per person and all materials are provided for you.

Stamp of the Month Project:  Here is how it works.  When you purchase $50 in CTMH product, you get the Stamp of the Month for $5.  Go here to see details of project (on page 140 of the Autumn/Winter 2012 catalog) we will be working on.  This month will be a scrapbook page, plus an embellished card holder, and some cards as well.  When you go the the link it will show you materials to purchase that will add up to the $50 so you not only get only the stuff you need but you get the stamp of the month for $5.  You do NOT need to get the Cricut cartridge to participate!!

Cupcake Box Class:  In this class we will create a set of four (4) cupcake boxes complete with embellishments.  These are great for filling with a cupcake treat to give to someone special.  Cost is $20 per person.  Space is limited so register early.  Send me an email here if you would like to reserve a spot.

More Than Just a Card!

I just wanted to share this project with you, which was inspired by Pamela O'Connor.  You can visit her blog here
So let's get started.  I took a 6x6 Die-Cut Card (in Kraft) by CTMH

 

With my Cricut AND my Art Philosophy cartridge (exclusive to CTMH) I was able to cut the oval center.  Than I scored 1" from each side of the fold line in order for the box to stand up.  To decorate, I used the following (all CTMH):

• Clementine paper X7156B
• Burlap Ribbon Z1760
• Cottage Assortment Z1794
• Cashmere Exclusive Inks Stamp Pads Z2175
• Hook & Loop Dots Z1805 (similar to velcro coins to help close the flap of the box)
• It's Your Day Stamp Set (Constant Campaign that you can find here on my website.  To find all other products I used in this project, go here

That's it!!!! So easy to do and there is nothing more fun than turning an ordinary card into something really cool.  Happy Crafting!

Close To My Heart WOWS again!!

Happy Saturday!  I just wanted to share my recent card design that was inspired by a Mojo Monday Sketch!  I love sharing my projects as I love to share the magic that Close To My Heart offers with their stunning products!  Avonlea is one of those papers I just cannot get enough of!

This card was made using Avonlea paper and Slate ink (used for distressing edges) from Close To My Heart, shimmer buttons, and hemp.  Card size is 5 1/2x 4 1/4.  With a little help from my Cricut and one of CTMH's exclusive Cricut cartridges, Art Philosophy, I was able to complete the project in no time! 

Boxes, Bows, & Cards! ~Avonlea~

Hello, everyone, and happy Tuesday!  I wanted to take some time to share with you some fun things I have been creating with CTMH's new Avonlea paper pack.  I started by creating a card using a design from the Make It From Your Heart Volume #1 publication new to CTMH.  This was pattern 25 and I used a Colonial White card base.  Add some Opaque Adhesive Gems, paper butterfly, and some Slate ink to distress the edges and there you have it.

Here are a few of the boxes I completed.  The inside is filled with some great little note cards.  Keep in mind that you can fill these sweet boxes with anything from cards to candy!
