Giving Hope For the Holidays
We are honored to have you join us as we create for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. So many families throughout New York and New Jersey have been severely affected by this monster storm. They are desperately working to get their lives moving in the right direction. What makes things even worse is that the holidays are right around the corner. We are taking this time to create handmade cards to package and send to these states to be distributed to families who may want to fill a simple wish to just send out a holiday greeting.
Here is how it will work. Those who join us pay $15 per person if registered before November 30th. ($20 per person at the door) You will create 20 holiday cards (2 each of 10 designs). Proceeds and 10 cards plus postage will be packaged and sent off to families. The other 10 cards will be yours to keep! This can be a huge success but we NEED you all to join us. By all means, invite whomever who wish to join you too!
All registrations need to be paid for prior to event. Email Danielle at my3gurls12@gmail.com or Chrissy at curtis.chrissy@yahoo.com for payment options and registration info!
Thank you so much and we look forward to seeing you all as we come together to make a difference

A Great Way to Give Your Handmade Cards!
Hello, everyone and happy Sunday! It is a little nutty here as we wait for
the arrival of the ever so famous “Frankenstorm”. Hurricane Sandy is on it’s
way! I will make this post short and sweet. I was inspired to make one of
these card holders today and thought I would share it with you.
I created a handful of cards to give to someone special using Close To My Heart’s Avonlea paper pack. What better way then to give the cards in this adorable carriers.
Cards go on one side and envelopes on the other. This was super easy to make too. Here is another view.
What’s even better is that anyone who books a card workshop with me through November will get to make one of these carriers as well. Contact me if you are interested here.
To all my East Coast peeps…please stay safe!!

I saw this adorable idea online. Since it was one of many ideas I loved, I don't
remember who exactly did it in order to give credit but I can tell you they
primarily used "Stampin' Up" product. So I tweaked it using ALL Close To My
Heart product and love it!!!!! So here it is, my "Witch's Broom" (which is
really a Tootsie Roll Pop)
No, Tootsie Roll Pops do NOT come with black sticks, LOL, I colored it black myself. I made the bristles of the broom using Accent #3 on page 35 of the Cricut Artiste Booklet (use the shift button). I cut the image at 6" and cut 2 of them for each lollipop.
I used CTMH Kraft cardstock found on page 129 of the Autumn/Winter 2012 Idea Book. Once the images were cut, I spritzed each with some water and crumpled them. Then I layered the two cut images and punched a hole in the center. Slide them over the lollipop stick, add some black hemp, and some stamped tags and voila!!!!!! There you have it. My images were from the "Wicked" stamp set from CTMH. I made several of the cute little treats for my co-workers for Halloween.
I hope you like these sweet treats! Now get creatin'........

Thank You, Croppers!
Good morning and happy Sunday! I just wanted to take this time to thank all the croppers who attended Loudoun Valley Community Center's 1st annual crop yesterday. I enjoyed my time with ALL 20 of you! I know how crazy it can be on weekends with children (and husbands) at home, but you all made it work somehow.
Congrats to Jessica Taylor and Dee Matthews for winning their workshops on the go...Whoot Whoot! Also, congrats to our first 5 to sign up...they each got their own Close To My Heart paper pack! Keep checking in for our next crop being held in January!
Finally, a HUGE "thank you" to my special peeps Chrissy, Ursula, Michelle, and Emily! Love you guys!
Keep on scrapping!
