Fun With paper Folds

So I have been taking the passed couple of days to experiment with paper folds. There are so many super cute things you can add to your creations. Pictured here is a card I made using CTMH's Passages paper pack. I added a waterfall fold to the front to hold a cute little tag. This card will be shared with my family in NY. We just returned from a wonderful visit to their beach house and wanted to say "thank you" for the memories.

Start with a 3x3 square of your favorite paper (This is one of many great reasons why CTMH's B&T Duos are awesome. Because there is texture and pattern on both sides, you'll get an alternating affect when folding.)

Fold the paper side to side and then bottom to top. Turn the folded square so the point with open edges is at the top. Begin folding down each individual layer ending about 1/4" from the first layer. Do not fold the last layer! That is it...you are done.

Paper Bouquet Holder

Another fun paper fold! Pictured here on my page created using CTMH's Passages, is the paper bouquet holder. I added some silk and paper flowers attaching them to the paper with brads. This was super easy to make

Keepsake Envelopes As Embellishments

What an awesome addition to any scrapbook layout or card. So here is a card I made recently using CTMH's Cherry O paper pack. On the front is a sweet little "keepsake envelope" that can be used to decorate your card cover or can make your card interactive by allowing you to tuck a little note inside. I got this idea from Susan Cobb who has How-To books for cardmaking/paper crafts. Her directions are super easy to follow and help you to create the most beautiful paper embellishments.

Hi, all....ok, so I got to experience the Close to My Heart annual convention this past week. All I can say is WOW! So many great ideas and thoughts running through my head right now. No words can accurately explain the amazing atmosphere I just got to experience.
