Paper Goodies To Start The School Year Right!
On the first day of school, my teacher friends will find one of these hanging from their classroom door. I just wanted to welcome the brand new school year with something special. A little card with a special thought, a piece of chocolate (to help survive the first days),and maybe a little bottle of hand sanitizer..LOL....whatever treats they will find, I hope, will make their first days warm and cheerful.

"Mischief" Card Fun
Yesterday I posted a "sneak peak" of this card I created. The design idea is a combination of "All Stacked Up" from CTMH's "Wishes" book and the mix of papers is from an idea posted by Aaron Brown as she demonstrated how to use the new Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge exclusive to CTMH.
The card is one that was made using this cartridge when selecting the "ticket" shaped image and selecting the "card" function. I set the machine at 5 3/4" when cutting this card out.
The patterned paper was from the new "Mischief" paper pack that is in the Autumn/Winter 2011 catalog. (Contact me if you would like your very own copy)
I cut this piece at 2 1/2" using the same "ticket" shaped image but this time without the card feature activated. Using the same image and sized cut, cut a piece of colonial white cardstock to put inside the card.
The 3 squares are colonial white cardstock cut at 1 1/2" and sponged with sunset ink.
The cupcake image was cut out of sunset cardstock at 2 1/2" and wrapped with black & white ribbon finished with some dabs of silver glitter glitz gel. The stars were also cut from our "bug" friend at 1".
Lots of fun making this card and super easy to do.

Pillow Boxes Are A Hit
So here is one more design of these great pillow boxes I am having a blast making. The new Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge that is exclusive to CTMH can make so many wonderful projects super easy.
These paper flowers are the most fun to make and can be finished in just a few minutes.
Another NEW product from CTMH that I am absolutely in love with is the Glitz Glitter Gel….adds just enough “sparkle” to your project. Let me know if I can help you design your next paper project or if you would like to get your own NEW product from CTMH! valentino.danielle@yahoo.com

Simply “Magnifique”
Take a look at these sweet little pillow boxes I made to house gift certificates for the winners of the Miss Clarke County & Jr. Miss Clarke County beauty pageant.
Of course, I had lots of help from my Cricut (love that bug!) and the new “Art Philosophy” cartridge exclusive to CTMH. Having this great cartridge makes my job big fun and super easy!!!! It even helps me make the cuts so I can create these beautiful paper flowers:
So excited I had the chance to be creative and share this with some neat girls!
You too can create this project (yes, even if you are not the creative type)….what better way to present your next gift card/certificate for teachers, clients, friends, family, or organizations. Just contact me for a list of upcoming classes. Let’s create together!!!!

Pillow Boxes & Paper Flowers
Love my Cricut!!!! I have to say, I didn’t play all too much with the Cricut until CTMH came out with their exclusive cartridge…now I can’t stop! I cannot believe what I have been able to create in just minutes thanks to this bug…
Here is a pillow box I made today in five minutes…yep, you heard me right. Take a look…..
I used less than a sheet of B&T paper from the CTMH “Elemental” paper pack, dark chocolate and colonial white striped ribbon, opaque adhesive gems, one of the beautiful embellishments from the Pewter Mini-Medley pack, and a stamped image from one of the Cricut cartridge coordinating stamp sets called “Celebration”.
The paper flowers are super simple to make and look so pretty when complete.
Let me know if you are interested in learning how to make your very own pillow box….classes will be scheduled soon so keep your eye out on the list of workshops that are upcoming!
