Hey, everyone. So this week I got to play with "Veranda" -another great paper pack from CTMH. This paper was so inspiring to me. The colors and prints were so soothing and elegant. It brought me to think about my oldest daughter who just turned 10. She is becoming quite a young lady and thinking back to her as a toddler has been my pasttime this week. Her best friend was her cousin Emily. They are both 4 months apart and were absolutely adorable. I cherish them both. So Veranda became my "tribute" paper pack.....to 2 beautiful little girls who mean the world to me. I love you, Bella & Emily!

Scrapbooking FAQ
Hi, everyone. I am going to be doing something a little new. One of my scrapping pals asked if I would consider emailing/blogging a "Tip of the Week" in regards to FAQs about scrapbooking. I thought this was a good idea since I do get lots of great questions. If any of you decide you would like to submit a question, feel free to email me or comment to my blog. So here is the first tip:
FAQ: Should I use cardstock as the base of my pages?
Answer: YES!!!!! Cardstock provides a sturdy base for you artwork. Being sturdy is important when it comes to having to carry the weight of you photos, trims, embellishments, etc. It will also tolerate "handling" better as far as viewing your pages in a book and creating your pages which takes hard work and creativity. Using cardstock as your base also allows you to add dimension to your layouts without the paper crushing or crinkling. Cardstock also handles embossing better. So in my opinion, yes, always use cardstock as your base. Close To My Heart paper packs always come with a great mix of colors to coordinate with your B&T Duo papers. I know some may want to use as many pieces of the cardstock in their packs as they can and kudos to you all for being so frugal....my suggestion...maybe purchase a pack of Daisy White or Colonial White cardstock on Page 95 of the Spring 2010 catalog since those are the two neutral colors used in the paper packs. That way you always have extra cardstock on hand and all of your beautiful, hard work stays preserved nicely. Also, take note of CTMH"s February constant campaign. You can stock up on your textured cardstock combo packs since they are buy one get one free and at the same time help benefit Haiti as they try to recover from their recent tragedy. Snowed In....
Ugh..I love snow, but this is unbelievable....it has been snowing for like 6 days and I have to say it is making me crazy. So I took some of my new found free time and made some great pages and cards using CTMH's "You Rock" paper. I must admit I was initially thinking the paper was a little busy....but I have to say it is awesome. I had the most fun playing with this paper than I ever had. Take a look at some of the paper.
